Women owned and operated, Crust got its start thanks to the encouragement of many mutual friends, repeatedly telling Shannon and Meagan they had to meet. After two hours of talking over coffee & tea and getting kicked out of a closing coffee shop, the rest was history. Like a really great first date, they just clicked from the start. Crust was founded in January of 2015 and has been growing ever since. Read below to learn more about our team of bad ass babes.

Shannon got her start in the bakery world selling Girl Scout cookies all over middle Tennessee. This evolved to hosting bake sales for animal rights groups & selling cookies in the basements of punk shows. Despite being a grad school dropout, Shannon’s fondness for biochemistry & environmental science persists. Shannon also loves radical politics, breakfast foods, drinking too much iced coffee, dystopian YA books, seltzer, and podcasts.


Meagan has always had an insatiable sweet tooth, but it wasn’t until she decided to adopt a vegan diet that she discovered her love for baking. After obtaining a design degree in college and pursuing that for a bit, she realized her true career path was paved in sugar. She is a mother of cats..but secretly dreams of a dog (someday). Meagan loves cake decorating, growing her own food, her planner, plants, weightlifting, and doughnuts are always her dessert of choice.

Other than scooping cookies and crimping pie shells, Angela loves making ceramic sculptures, drawing, thrift shopping, hanging out with her rabbits, dog and chinchilla, watching movies, rocking out to the 80's and eating all the food that's vegan.


Hobart is originally from New York and previously worked in animal welfare for 15 years. They have 2 cats that they are obsessed with, like to knit, and draw cats and monsters. One day they hope to move to Oregon and start a sanctuary for aggressive cats.


When he's not in the kitchen, you can find Steve teaching drums, making his own line of hats, or growing & eating kale with his wife. He loves music and dancing. He drinks his coffee black but with a pinch of salt.

Aimee, self professed Frosting Queen of Crust, enjoys entertaining her coworkers by lovingly belting out songs with the wrong lyrics in the wrong key. She also loves her husband, her two pibbles & her two cats. She has been baking professionally for over 6 years.

Megan is a beach baby from Cape May, NJ. She is a self-taught artist, rescuer of wayward weasels, & has been baking professionally for over 15 years. If you can't find her in the kitchen, she's barefoot outside, admiring her latest collection of cool looking sticks.


Kathleen made her way to Crust from a vegan bakery in Florida. When she's not biking across the city, crying at the Moth, dog walking, reusing jam jars, or managing an animal sanctuary, you can find her in the kitchen saving our butts on our busiest days.


Rebecca is a city girl, born & raised in Philly. She worked in the behavioral health field for three years before becoming a baker. She loves baking cookies, treasure hunting at flea markets, watching Netflix  & staying active with dragon boat races and bouldering. She dreams of a backyard greenhouse!

Born & raised just outside Philly, Sara is usually thinking about cinnamon buns. Her life revolves around exploring with her rescue pup Star & poorly gardening with her cat Jubie. Sara loves cake decorating, D&D, crusty pizza, & looking for Bigfoot (the truth is out there).
